Dr. Victoria Jones
Victoria grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She moved out east to become a student-athlete at Dalhousie University in Halifax. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree with Dean's List honours and was recognized as a CIS Academic All-Canadian for her role as assistant captain of the Dalhousie Women's Varsity Volleyball team. Victoria then returned to Toronto to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Clinic Honours in 2008.
While obtaining her Degree in Chiropractic, Dr. Jones became additionally certified in Active Release Techniques® (spine, upper and lower extremity seminars), Activator Level I, Orthotic Group Level I, and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). These skills have allowed Victoria to treat at international athletic events such as the Penticton Ironman Triathlon, and to treat high performance amateur athletes including world class swimmers, national level soccer players, and an array of varsity student-athletes participating in sports such as football, basketball and volleyball.
Professionally, Victoria is focused on quality patient care of common injuries such as neck pain, low back pain and headaches, with a special interest in cumulative strain and athletic injuries. Through the combined use of joint manipulation, mobilization and a variety of soft tissue techniques (such as ART®, Graston and trigger point therapy) Dr. Jones' approach to chiropractic care is phased, beginning with pain relief and ultimately resulting in the patient taking ownership of their own active program of care. Her personal training background plays a large role in the exercise prescription and rehabilitative elements she enjoys incorporating into her treatment plans.
Out of the office Victoria can be found running, skiing, playing volleyball or practicing yoga – basically enjoying all of the amazing things that the Okanagan has to offer!
