Vanessa Milot, MScPT
Vanessa grew up in Niagara, Ontario and completed a double honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Biological Anthropology at the University of Toronto. She then moved to Kingston, ON to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy at the Queen’s University School of Rehabilitation. In 2010 her passion for outdoor adventure brought her to Kelowna and the Okanagan quickly became her home.
In addition to work as a registered Kelowna Physiotherapist, Vanessa is a certified acupuncturist through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and is carrying out post graduate studies in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Levels through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). She is also certified in Therapeutic Taping and Thoracic Manipulation through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI) and has achieved Mackenzie Level A with the Robin Mackenzie Institute of Canada.
Additional post graduate studies have focused on assessment and treatment of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) pain (otherwise known as jaw pain) and rehabilitation for vertigo and dizziness. Vanessa’s practice offers a hands-on approach to Physiotherapy treatment with focus on soft tissue and manual therapy techniques. Areas of special interest include neck, back and TMJ pain, as well as sports related injuries and rehabilitation.
Outside of the clinic, Vanessa can usually be found enjoying the mountains with some of her favourite pastimes including skiing, rock climbing, running, and camping.
